Bhubaneswar: KISS Foundation has extended a helping hand to a poor meritorious gupchup seller to enable him to pursue mechanical engineering at KIIT Deemed to be University.
Rahul Mahat, a meritorious student who sells gupchup for survival, will now pursue technical higher education in KIIT.
Rahul, who hails from Anandpur under Anandpur municipality of Kendujhar district, secured 87 percent marks in +2 exams this year. He could not fulfill his dream of becoming a mechanical engineer because of poverty. His father, the sole bread earner of the family, died a few years back.
On getting to know about him from the media, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KISS Foundation and MP, Kandhamal contacted Rahul’s family through his representatives.
Dr. Samanta immediately announced that KISS Foundation will take the responsibility for his education in KIIT Deemed to be University free of cost. Besides education, KISS Foundation will also facilitate suitable employment, Dr. Samanta assured.
The family members of Rahul conveyed their gratitude to the KISS Foundation and Dr. Samanta for this noble gesture.
