Bhubaneswar: E-Learning Class programme was inaugurated at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on Wednesday under the initiative of KISS and Kalinga TV.
“Class room teaching is the best and real mode of imparting education. However due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, schools and colleges have been shut down. KISS authority has provided hassle-free learning for students who are confined to their homes,” Founder, KIIT & KISS, Dr Achyuta Samanta said.
The faculties and staff of KISS are in constant touch with the students, who were provided with text books and dry food items to ensure their study from home, he added.
Kalinga TV will telecast e-learning class for a period of half an hour every day.
“We believe there should be no discontinuation in the academic calendar, even in testing times like the pandemic,” said Dr Samanta.
Study materials of whatever is taught in e-learning classes will be provided to students.
Even non-KISS students from every corner of Odisha will benefit from the e-classes.
