Bhubaneswar: Governor Ganeshi Lal and three eminent Odias will be conferred D.Litt Degree (Honoris Causa) at the first virtual annual convocation of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University on Sunday.
The three eminent Odia personalities are Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India Girish Chandra Murmu, Member of Parliament, Kesses constituency, Kenya and founding chairman, Mediheal Group of Hospitals, Kenya, Swarup Ranjan Mishra and New York-based fashion and costume designer Bibhu Mohapatra.
Besides, the scholars will receive PG and MPhil degrees. Two Founder’s gold medals, 14 Chancellor’s gold medals and 14 Vice Chancellor’s silver medals will be awarded to the meritorious students.
The event will begin with the welcome address by Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT and KISS, while the Governor will deliver the convocation address.
