KKR Post 7-Wicket Win Over RR

Jaipur: Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Rajasthan Royal by seven wickets to perch on top of the points table in an Indian Premier League clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday.

Riding on Robin Uthappa’s 48 runs off 36, Kolkata scored 163/3 in 18.5 overs as against the ser target of 160/8.

Skipper Dinesh Karthik (unbeaten 42) and Nitish Rana (unbeaten 35) partnership for fourth wicket helped Kolkata secure an easy win despite losing opener Chris Lynn in the second ball of the innings.

For the visitors, spinners Piyush Chawla (1/18) and Kuldeep Yadav (1/23) gave their team a commanding position right from the beginning.
