Keonjhar: As many as 48 new corona positive cases were detected in Keonjhar in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally in the district to 246 on Thursday.
Of the 48 cases, 36 are the local contacts while two are corona warriors who are under treatment at Bhubaneswar-based COVID hospital. Another 10 positive cases have been identified from the Temporary Medical Centre (TMCs).
Among the 34 cases, who are the local ones, were identified from Barbil Municipality alone. They came in close contact with positive patients detected earlier. Further contact tracing is on.
With 135 recoveries, Keonjhar district now has 111 active cases.
