Mumbai: As Salman Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ completed 10 years of its release, director Kabir Khan shared how Kareena Kapoor came on board for the film.
“I always knew Rasika was a very small character, but she’s the voice of reason in the film. And from day one, I was sure I wanted Kareena for it. When I went to meet her, I told her upfront: it’s a small role, but you should listen to the entire narration before deciding. And by the time she heard the whole script, she was in tears. She said she absolutely wanted to be a part of it,” the director said in an interview with The Indian Express.
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ revolves around an Indian citizen who crosses the border without a valid passport to unite Munni, a lost girlchild, with her parents in Pakistan.
Salman played the role of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, child artist Harshaali Malhotra made an impressive debut as Munni. Kareena played Salman’s love interest, Rasika Pandey, in the film.
Salman recently confirmed that a sequel to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is in works.
