With Donald Trump losing the election to Joe Biden, speculation is now mounting over the future of the President and his wife’s marriage. During November 11’s Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony, First Lady Melania Trump was seen standing away from the President and walking arm-in-arm with a serviceman, ignoring social distancing.
According to a former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, “Melania is counting every minute until he is out of the office and she can divorce. If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.”
Melania is the second foreign-born first lady of the US after Louisa Adams, the wife of John Quincy Adams. She was born in 1970 in Slovenia.
According to New Yorker, Trump, who was married twice earlier, met her in 1998 at a Fashion Week party in New York and asked for her number. She modeled in Paris and Milan before moving to America in 1996 to pursue modelling in York City.
Trump proposed to her on the night of Costume Institute Gala in 2004 and the two got married on January 22, 2005. She officially became an American citizen in 2006.
Melania can speak Slovenian, French, Serbian, German, Italian, and English, CNN reported.
NET WORTH
According to Celebrity Net Worth, she has a fortune of GBP 38.6 million. She has graced the covers of several magazines, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Vanity Fair, and Glamour.
Melania played herself in the 2001 film “Zoolander” and made appearances on her husband’s NBC reality series “The Apprentice” from 2004 to 2015, the report said.
The former lingerie model has made a fortune through her jewellery line, skincare products, property investments – and a payout from the Daily Mail.
In February 2017, Melania filed a $150 million lawsuit against the British tabloid, for accusing her of working as an escort during her time as a model in an article. The lawsuit was settled for $2.9 million after the tabloid retracted the statements made in the article.
