Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor are set to play mega roles in their career. They will be portraying Ram and Raavan in Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus ‘Ramayana’.
Nitesh Tiwari of ‘Dangal’ fame is all set to direct a new version of the Ramayan. To be produced by Madhu Mantena, the three-film trilogy on Ramayan will reportedly be made at a whopping budget of Rs 750 crore, the rediff.com reported.
If that left you openmouthed, then there is more. The male leads will be paid a staggering Rs 75 crore each for playing the epic mythological titans, according to Zoom.
Nitesh and his team are still searching for an actress to play Sita.
In the past, many filmmakers have tried their hands on creating their own versions of the epic saga but none has come close to Ramanand Sagar’s original DD national show. The ‘Dangal’ and ‘Chhichhore’ director hopes to give his audience, including children, an experience of a lifetime, he told Zoom.
