Explaining about the new scientific studies regarding COVID-19 Mishra said recent scientific studies have found the transmission capacity of the virus has reduced to around six days. “Keeping the report in mind, we have reduced the isolation period to one week. However, the patient needs to remain under self-observation for another seven days,” the health officer added.

During the first and second phase of pandemic, incubation period of SARS-CoV2 was 14 days and a person testing positive for the virus had the potential to infect another person within 10 days of incubation, he added.
