Mayurbhanj: The COVID-19 tally in Mayurbhanj district rose to 305 on Thursday with 14 more persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Of the new corona positive cases, nine have been detected in quarantine centres while four are local contacts and the remaining one a corona warrior.
Two cases each have been reported from Betnoti, Khunta, Kaptipada, Sukruli, Jasipur, and Bijatala block area and one each from Badasahi and Shyamakhunta block, according to a tweet by the district administration.
Among the nine cases, two each are returnees of Telangana, Maharashtra and Gujarat while one each case from Karnataka, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
Among the four contacts cases, two cases have been reported from Khunta block while one each case from Betnoti and Badasahi blocks.
The infected frontline worker was posted on corona duty in Betnoti block.
