Balangir: Seven more corona positive cases were confirmed in Balangir district on Sunday, taking the affected tally in Odisha to 1,276.
Of these seven cases, two each are from Agalpur and Saintala blocks and one case each from Loisingha, Bangomunda and Muribahal blocks in the district, informed Collector Arindam Dakua.
The patients were lodged in quarantine centres.
The district administration has announced no new containment zones in these localities. It has, however, decided to clamp Section 144 in these areas to contain the spread of the virus, sources said.
With two patients having recovered from the disease, Balangir now has nine active cases.
