Jagatsinghpur: Six new COVID-19 cases were reported in Jagatsinghpur district on Friday, taking the district’s tally to 305.
According to the district administration, five of the six new patients were residents of Tirtol block.
All the six were kept in temporary medical camps (TMC) after their return to Odisha from other states recently. Two had returned from Maharashtra and one each from Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Some of the infected patients were to shifted to the COVID hospital in Paradip and some to KIIMS in Bhubaneswar, the district administration informed.
At present, Jagatsinghpur district has 97 actives coronavirus cases and 208 have recovered from the infection.
