New Delhi: About 8,000 guests are slated to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s oath-taking ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The guests include heads-of-states, corporate czars, people from the showbiz industry and eminent personalities from across spheres.
As soon as the swearing-in is over, guests will be served high tea and dinner. Reports say the guests will be entertained with lemon tarts, samosas and sandwiches and the banquet for dignitaries and guests will include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
The takeaway of the evening menu will be ‘Dal Raisina’, a typical north-Indian delicacy which takes close to 48 hours to cook with special ingredients that are bought all the way from Lucknow.
Chef Machindra Kasture, a member of Le Club des Chefs, is reported to have prepared the signature dish along with his famous Raan-Ali Shaan. These dishes were served during former US president Barack Obama visit to India.
