Cuttack: Amid the COVID-19 second wave, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Tuesday issued safety guidelines for month-long Ramzan celebrations in mosques in the city.
THE GUIDELINES
>> All religious congregations in the mosque or outside for Namaz would be restricted to 100 persons or 50 per cent of hall capacity whichever is lesser.
>> Mosque management committee would be responsible for ensuring token-wise entry of persons.
>> Social distancing marks would be made at a distance of 6ft each for devotees to sit/stand while offering prayers.
>> There will be no common washing facility for ablutions prior to the worship and only running water should be provided.
>> Persons with comorbidities/senior citizens/children below the age of 5 years not to be allowed.
>> Hand sanitization and thermal scanning facility should be made available at the entrance and after prayer.
>> Mask is mandatory for all.
>> People have to maintain distance among themselves while greeting and during prayers.
