Nabarangpur: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths have arrested a headmaster in Nabarangpur district and unearthed huge movable and immovable properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused has been identified as Ranjit Kumar Panigrahi of project high school at Borigaon under Raighar block in Nabarangpur district.
According to Vigilance sources, estimated cost of the seized properties is Rs 2.60 crore, which includes a triple storey building, two double-storey buildings, six plots, two four-wheelers and two two-wheelers, cash worth Rs 70.46 lakh deposited in his bank account and Rs 20.31 lakh Life Insurance deposit and ornaments worth Rs 6 lakh.
The 30-member Vigilance team had conducted simultaneous raids at five locations including the house of Panigrahi on Tuesday.
