Know The Speed Limit In Twin Cities; Avoid Being Penalised

Bhubaneswar: With the new traffic restriction coming into effect from Sunday, the Commissionerate police has put in place speed limits in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack

The speed limits are as follows:

Light and heavy vehicles — 50 kmph (70 kmph on NH between Palasuni and Balikuda)

Two-wheelers — 50 kmph

“Drivers can be prosecuted over these limits,” said a tweet from the commissionerate this evening.

Overspeeding could lead to a fine of Rs 5000 as per the new Motor Vehicle Act 2019.
