Know The Trading Establishments To Remain Open In Odisha’s Jajpur District

Jajpur: With the lifting of the complete shutdown order in Jajpur district on Sunday, the district administration announced a partial relaxation by allowing the opening of the following trading establishments registered under Odisha Shops & Commercial Establishments Act 1956.

The trading establishments will remain open from 6 am to 11 am daily except those specifically mentioned otherwise by adhering to social distancing, wearing of masks and other protocols issued by the government from time to time and except in the shutdown areas and containment zones declared from time to time, Jajpur Collector Ranjan Kumar Das said.

The trading establishments that will remain open are:

—Patho labs/Diagnostic Services
—Grocery, Bakery, Bread / essential consumption Items including personal hygiene
—Vegetable
—Non-Veg (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday)
—Livestock feed
—Books Shops for students (weekly once on Sunday)
—LPG gas agency and transportation
—Agriculture equipment repair shops
—Cement, rod, chips and house building materials
—Hardware store
—Electric shops selling fans/bulbs and other Items for maintenance work
—Mobile recharging centres
—Electronic appliances repairing shops
—Automobile spare parts, service stations
—Motorcycle garage
—Bicycle Repairing shops
—Services/products/processing associated with agriculture and allied services
—Fruits
—Milk & milk products shop
—Permitted dhabas on National Highway (24×7)
—Health institutions and ambulance services (24×7)
—Medicines /optical store (24×7)
—Petrol pump Inside Municipal (Block area (6 am to 6 pm)/by the side of National Highway (24×7)

Stating that other categories of shops and commercial establishment not specifically mentioned above shall remain closed, the collector said that the permitted shops are encouraged to facilitate home delivery to minimize the movement of the individuals outside their homes.

Referring to the lockdown guidelines, he said the senior citizens and children are advised to stay at home and not to come outside.

“The motorcycle with pillion riders will not be allowed. Those having no work in the market shall remain at home and all buyers and sellers will have to wear the mask mandatorily,” he pointed out.

The collector said that any person/ entity establishments/shopkeepers violating above guidelines will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions laid down under sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and COVID-19 Regulations 2020 besides legal action under section 188 of the IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.

“The order shall come into effect from 26.04.2020 10.00 AM and remain in force during the lockdown period,” he said.
