Bhubaneswar: The 2024 election in Odisha saw quite a few young faces making it to the Odisha Assembly with Upasana Mohapatra being the youngest MLA-elect from Brahmagiri at 26.
Upasana, who contested the election on a BJP ticket, is the daughter of late Congress heavyweight Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra. The 26-year-old “content creator” won by defeating BJD’s Umakanta Samantaray with a margin of 9,830 votes in the coastal seat under Puri parliamentary constituency.
