Know The Traffic Restrictions In Bhubaneswar For Republic Day Rehearsals & Parade

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police have issued traffic advisory in view of the state-level Republic Day 2025 parade and rehearsals.

There will be restrictions on vehicular movement on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and its periphery from 2 pm to 6 pm on January 22 and 23, from 7 am to 11.30 am on January 24, and from 6.30 am onwards till the end of the parade on January 26.

The traffic restrictions are as follows:

1. No heavy vehicles will ply towards Master Canteen Square either from Ram Mandir Crossing or Rajmahal Crossing.

2. Two-wheelers and light motor vehicles will be allowed from Rajmahal crossing towards Ram Mandir crossing up to Master Canteen Square only. They will not be allowed to turn towards PMG square on Mahatma Gandhi Marg till the parade is over.

3. No vehicles will be allowed to towards Rabindra Mandap crossing from the Housing Board crossing side and will be diverted at Keshari Talkies crossing towards the left side lane.

4. No vehicles will be allowed to move towards PMG Square from AG Square side and will be diverted from Jayadev Bhawan Square towards the Idcol auditorium side.

5. All vehicles coming from 120 Battalion Square side will be diverted towards Unit-4 at MLA colony crossing.

6. All the lanes touching Mahatma Gandhi Marg will be sealed and only pedestrians will be allowed on Mahatma Gandhi Marg.

The places designated as ‘Parking Places’ during the parade are as follows:

  • BDA Bus Stand near Railway Station.
  • Open space in front of Congress Bhawan.
  • Open space in front of Idcol Auditorium.
  • Open space in front of Jayadev Bhawan.
  • Open space in front of SBI in Unit-III.
  • Open space inside Rabindra Mandap.
  • Unit-II Girl’s High School Ground.
