Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has released a list of ministers and administrative officers, who will hoist the national flag on the occasion of 78th Independence Day on August 15.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will hoist the tricolour and take salute in the state capital, Bhubaneswar. Similarly, his deputies K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will attend the I-Day event in Nuapada and Cuttack respectively.
Here’s the list of others, who have been assigned the responsibility in the remaining districts of the state.
The letter to Odisha DGP from the Home Secretary further stated that the collector of the district concerned will perform the ceremonial flag hoisting and take salute on the occasion if those designated are unable to reach the assigned place due to some unavoidable circumstances.
