Koffee With Karan: When Alia Was Asked To Compare Ranbir With Ranveer

Mumbai: Appearing on ‘Koffee with Karan’ can often be an unnerving and awkward experience, as many Bollywood artistes have found out over the years.

Private lives are probed, gossip on fellow actors is a common theme as Karan Johar goes up close and personal with his guests.

Season 7 of the popular show kicked off on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh on the couch.

During the rapid-fire segment, Alia was asked to share one quality which her husband Ranbir Kapoor has and Ranveer does not, and vice versa.

Alia, who announced her pregnancy recently three months after tying the knot with Ranbir, didn’t hold back.

“Ranveer has linguistic.. strength and ability, which I think even Ranbir would agree. And… Ranbir has… Ranbir is on time. The most punctual actor that I have met in my life. And I also think there’s a certain ease with which Ranbir dances that Ranveer doesn’t have,” said the busy actress who is working for her Hollywood Bollywood debut, alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, in Netflix film ‘Heart Of Stone’.

Karan was not in a mood to let Ranveer off the hook, and asked him a similar question on his wife Deepika Padukone and Alia.

“Alia has a little bit more language proficiency and Deepika has a little bit more physical stature,” Ranveer said.

Ranveer and Alia, who combined in Zoya Akhtar’s hit movie ‘Gully Boy’, will next be seen together in Karan Johar’s directorial venture ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.

Alia made her Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’ in 2012.
