Bhubaneswar: The Director of Mines, Odisha, has issued a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for four iron ore and manganese mines, including two virgin blocks.
These 4 mineral blocks are Koira iron ore block, the lease of which has expired, Kedesala North-East iron ore virgin block, Kusumdihi manganese and iron ore block, whose lease has expired, and Orahuri manganese and iron ore virgin block.
The last date for the purchase of tender documents after payment of Rs 5 lakh on the website of the e-auction platform provider is May 9, 2022, and the last date of submission of bids is on or before 3 pm on May 17.
“In Exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(B) of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation )Act, 1957 and in accordance with the mineral(auction) rules, 2015 as amended from the time to time notified thereunder, the Government of Odisha has identified 4 mineral blocks as under for electronic auction and thereby invites tenders the purpose of granting of mining lease 2 mineral blocks of iron ore and 2 mineral blocks of manganese and iron ore,” the notice said.
