Bhubaneswar: A Kolkata-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in the Odisha capital after a passenger suffered a cardiac arrest mid-air.
According to media reports, Lakhsmi Das, a native of West Bengal, was traveling with her son in the Bengaluru-Kolkata flight when she suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday. She was rushed to Capital Hospital and was later declared dead.
Her body was sent for postmortem, the reports added.
