Cuttack: Healthcare services were affected at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Thursday as junior doctors joined nationwide protest over the rape-murder of a 31-year-old postgraduate trainee in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College.
According to sources, the OPD, OT and Lab services were suspended except for emergency services. The move comes in response to a strike call from the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA).
The incident has sparked widespread protests, with junior doctors and healthcare workers expressing deep concern over their safety. The protests have seen participation from medical professionals across India.
