Kolkata Link Continues To Trouble Jajpur, Corona Positive Cases Touch 45

Bhubaneswar: Five more Kolkata returnees have tested corona positive in Jajpur district, taking the affected tally in Odisha to 154.

They have been identified as three men aged 28, 56 and 63 and two women aged 24 and 60. “They were all asymptomatic and being kept in quarantine,” the I &PR department said in a tweet on Saturday.

With one patients having recovered, Jajpur now has 44 active cases, which is  almost three times more than the once corona hotspot Bhubaneswar (16). 30 of the 47 patients have recovered in the city.

Balasore, with three recoveries, has 17 active cases which is one more than the state capital.

With one death and 55 having been cured of the disease, Odisha now has 99 actives.
