Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Wednesday controlled movement of two trains after a goods train derailed near Balugaon station of Khurda district.
According to an ECoR release, one wagon of a goods train going from Nayagarh in Keonjhar district to Hubli in Karnatak got derailed at about 4.35 pm between Solari station and Balugaon station in Khurda Road-Brahmapur section of Khurda Road division in Howrah-Chennai main line.
As a result, 11020 Bhubaneswar-Mumbai CSMT Konark Express from Bhubaneswar has been controlled at Gangadharpur station and 12703 Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express has been controlled at Kalupadaghat station.
Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road and his team have reached the derailed spot and are supervising the works to clear the track. Coaching train movements will be allowed in down line with caution. The UP line is expected to be cleared shortly, the ECoR stated in the release.
