Bhubaneswar: Centrally-protected monuments/sites and museums under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will be opened for the public from June 16.
“This opening, however. shall be in strict compliance with the executive orders. if any, issued by State/District Disaster Management Authority. Appropriate guidelines and SOPs issued by Union and State/UT Ministries/Dept in this regard shall be scrupulously followed while regulating the flow of visitors,” an official notification from ASI said.
These sites have been closed since March 15.
Odisha has 80 centrally-protected monuments and three museums at Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri and Konark that come under the purview of ASI. The monuments include the Sri Jagannath temple at Puri, Lingaraj temple at Bhubaneswar and Sun Temple at Konark.
