Puri: The Sun Temple at Konark in Puri district will remain closed for tourists till May 31.
Informing the media on Tuesday, Niraj Singh, a senior official in the office of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) at Konark said following the written order by the ASI, the Sun Temple will remain closed until further orders.
It may be recalled that acting on the directive of the Ministry of Culture, the ASI on April 15 had ordered closure of Jagannath Temple at Puri, Sun Temple at Konark and Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar till May 15 due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.
