Bhubaneswar: Koraput MP Saptagiri Ulaka and Gunupur MLA Satyajeet Gomango have been included as members of the Task Force for formation of the Southern Odisha Development Council (SODC).
The decision to induct the two Congress leaders into the Task Force was taken by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, official sources said on Tuesday.
The Task Force, chaired by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, initially comprised nine members and three ex-officio members. With the addition of Ulaka and Gomango, the Task Force now has 11 members.
Earlier, its members were Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, Minister of State for Fisheries and Animal Resources Development, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Gokulananda Mallik, Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi, Kandhamal MP Sukant Kumar Panigrahi, Digapahandi MLA Siddhant Mohapatra, Malkangiri MLA Narasingh Madkami, Paralakhemundi MLA Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi, Phulbani MLA Uma Charan Mallik and Pattangi MLA Ramchandra Kadam.
Besides, the three ex-officio members are RDC (Southern Division), RDC (Central Division) and managing director of Western Odisha Development Council (WODC).
