Bhubaneswar/Koraput: A teacher from Odisha’s Koraput district, Pabitra Mohan Dash, will receive the National Teacher Award from President Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on September 5 in New Delhi.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) nominated Dash, an assistant teacher at Project Upper Primary School at Khataluguda near Boriguma, for the award.
He uses simplified methods to teach science and mathematics to his students and also written many books on the subjects. He also teaches yoga, art and other extra-curricular activities at the school.
“I will give all the credit to my students for this achievement. I always try to do something for the development of my students,” said Dash.
He is among 45 teachers in the country selected to receive the award for selfless service, sincerity and dedication in the field of education. They will receive the award at a special function at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Dash had earlier received Prakuti Bandhu award and the best teacher award in the state.
