Mumbai: KTM is developing a new 500cc parallel-twin engine in collaboration with Bajaj Auto at its R&D centre in Pune.
The new engine is expected to come up in KTM Duke 490 and 490 Adventure. These will be positioned in between KTM 390 and 890 range.
The new engine will also be used on Husqvarna motorcycles. The engine is expected to be launched in 2022.
Bajaj could also use the engine in a range of its own products. Pulsar 500, anyone?
