Puri: Five Jagannath Temple servitors, who had returned to Puri from Kumbh Mela in Haridwar recently, have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a district official, 127 people of the district returned after attending the Kumbh Mela. Among them, 36 are sevayats of the temple.
The virus has so far infected 47 servitors and 34 other staff of the temple administration, which had suspended general darshan at the centuries-old temple till May 15.
