Koraput: The five-member special investigation team, led by DSP Rabi Singh which arrived in Odisha’s Koraput district on Monday, will visit the native village of the minor rape victim on Tuesday.
As informed by Singh, the team will visit Musaguda village and collect details from the family members about the gang rape and subsequent suicide of the minor girl. Besides, the team will try its best to ascertain the cause and circumstances that had forced the victim to commit suicide.
The team most likely would interact with the villagers, sources said.
Meanwhile, the district administration has put up posters in the village wherein it has asked the people to provide any information relating to the incident to the NHRC team with relevant documents.
From Musaguda, the team would visit Pottangi police station and then to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kunduli.
The team after its arrival in Koraput district headquarters in the afternoon on Monday had a meeting with the Additional SP, District Child Protection Officer and the officials of the Odisha Human Rights Protection Cell officials.
The team is scheduled to visit the district headquarters hospital on Wednesday.
