Kushal Tandon Takes A Dig At Zaid Darbar Over His Closeness With Kashish Kapoor

Mumbai: Actor Kushal Tandon has once again taken a playful swipe at fellow contestant Zaid Darbar over his growing closeness with Kashish Kapoor on the reality show ‘Alliance’.

During a light-hearted interaction, Kushal joked that Zaid is always sticking around girls (ladkiyon se chipka rehta hai), with the banter quickly grabbing fans’ attention on social media.

In the episode, Zaid and Kashish were seen spending time together in a room, where they tested different perfumes on each other’s wrists while chatting.

The two also shared croissants, with Kashish even feeding Zaid a bite by hand, adding to their light-hearted camaraderie.

Meanwhile, outside the room, Kushal was seen chatting with Vanshaj Singh and Payal Dhare about Zaid’s growing closeness with Kashish.

Joking about the situation, Payal quipped that Zaid’s wife, Gauahar Khan, would give him “a good beating” once he returned home, prompting laughter among the group.

To this, Kushal said, “I swear! Sabse ke bed ke andar ghusa rehta hain. Aur alag alag ladkiyo se chipka rehta hain (He hides under everyone’s beds and sticks to all the new girls).”

Sohail Khan also joined in on the banter, joking that Zaid knew everyone was talking about him and was trying to hide his face out of embarrassment.

A few weeks ago, Kushal faced backlash on social media after making a remark that referenced Zaid’s wife, Gauahar. Zaid, too, was criticised for joining in on the exchange.

Following the controversy, production house Banijay Asia shared an apology video on Instagram featuring Zaid, addressing the incident.

Apologising with folded hands, Zaid said, “Sometimes, I just get carried away with my life. I didn’t realise it. What Kushal said was wrong. And I took it lightly. It’s my fault.”

“I’m sorry. Really sorry. And I hope you understand what I am. You know me. You know what kind of person I am. I can’t hurt anyone. I can hurt myself, but I can’t hurt anyone around me. That’s the truth,” he added.

Acknowledging the apology and reassured him, Gauahar said, “Vanshaj is playing . Masti is ok , coz u know every silly thing doesn’t mean one gets offended. U are right, don’t get swayed by dirty play. Keep rocking Jaanu.”

Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, ‘The Alliance’ sees 16 celebrities and creators team up in pairs to compete in a game of strategy, trust, and survival.

The contestants navigate shifting alliances and face a series of psychological, physical, and mental challenges.

The show streams daily at 12 noon on Prime Video.
