KV Kamath, Swapan Dasgupta Likely To Be Inducted In Modi 2.0 Govt

BRICS Bank Chairman K.V. Kamath and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta are likely to be inducted in Modi 2.0 government.

Kamath, who served as Chairman of ICICI Bank and Infosys, is likely to be inducted as Minister of State in the Finance Ministry, the IANS has reported.

The possible induction of Kamath in the Finance Ministry assumes significance against the backdrop of the slump in Indian economy which is showing no signs of improvement.

On the other hand, Dasgupta is likely to be taken in as a junior minister in the Human Resource Development Ministry amid unrest in campuses across India.

The name of another technocrat, Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, is also doing the rounds.

Suresh Prabhu, who earlier held the Commerce & Industry and Railways portfolios, may also make a comeback to the Modi government.
