Bhubaneswar: Shree Sai Niketan Trust (SSNT) will host the KWIZ-Bel 2019 quiz competition at the DAV, Chandrasekharpur here on July 28.
The aim of the fourth edition of the quiz is to spread awareness among Bhubaneswar-based school students about special children in society. The winners will be awarded with trophies, certificates and cash prizes. Odisha Bytes is the digital media partner for this event.
The quiz competition will be organised by Wood-Apple School, an educational institution for special children run by SSNT.
An SSNT statement said Wood-Apple’s objective is to reach out to the special needs of children who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, mentally challenged, autistic, or are suffering from cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.
The school has specially designed instruction modules and has made unique modifications in the curriculum and teaching methods to cater to special children.
The school is also working towards reaching out to deprived slum children.
Notably, the SSNT, which was established in 2012, has been successfully conducting programs for sanitation, women empowerment, AIDS awareness, safety awareness and several competitions, cultural activities and camps for women and children.
