Rayagada: A labourer was killed when a train ran over him near Saipriya Nagar in Rayagada district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Chaitanya Goleri (55), a native of Bankoli village under Baipariguda block in Koraput district.
As per available information, Goleri was hit by a goods train while walking on the railway tracks and got dragged under its wheels.
Following the incident, some locals rushed him to the district headquarters hospital but doctors declared him dead.
The body was handed over to his family members after postmortem, police sources said.
