Paradip: Tension ran high at Paradip Port following the death of a labourer on Sunday here.
The deceased was identified as Babaji Palatasaigh, a native of Sanaput village in Puri district.
Irked over the incident, a group of workers launched a cease-work agitation and staged a dharna on the port premises, demanding adequate compensation to the family members of the deceased.
According to reports, the incident took place while Babaji was engaged in unloading pig iron from a wagon at KCD-3 plot of the port.
