Balangir: A labourer died after being electrocuted while cutting a tree at Dunguripada in Odisha’s Balangir district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Kumar Harpal of Kalijharan village in the district.
As per preliminary information, a doctor had asked the labourer to cut a tree near his house.
While cutting the tree, Kumar came in contact with a live wire and reportedly died on the spot.
On being informed, a police team visited the spot and sent the body for postmortem. An investigation has been launched by police in this connection.
