Bhadrak: A labourer was killed and six others sustained critical injuries after being run over by a sand-laden truck at Bhandaripokhari in Odisha’s Bhadrak district in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The mishap took place when the labourers were sleeping in a camp near a road construction site on National Highway 16, reports said.
The sand-laden hyva truck rammed into their site camp, killing one labourer on the spot and leaving six others critically injured, they said.
The injured workers have been rushed to a hospital for treatment. A team of police personnel rushed to the mishap site. Further details are awaited.
