Jabalpur: One worker lost his life after an under-construction flyover caved in at Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur on Saturday.
Seven labourers trapped under the debris were rescued and rushed to hospital for treatment. One of them succumbed to injuries.
Jabalpur SP Ritesh Kumar said that prima facie, it appears to be a matter of ‘negligence’.
“A flyover being constructed near Shivaji Chowk came down and six to seven labourers were buried under the debris. Six labourers have been shifted to the hospital. We have received information about one death. Prima facie it appears to be a matter of negligence. Further investigation is underway and required action will be taken,” Kumar told ANI.
A substantial mound of rubble, from construction activities, suddenly gave way and the unsuspecting victims got buried beneath it, PTI reported.
