Bhubaneswar: A lady employee of Bank of India’s Gandamunda branch was
injured in accidental firing by a security guard of the bank on
Monday.
The victim was identified as Arpita Singh, an IT officer of the bank.
She was admitted to a private hospital here after sustaining bullet
injury on her leg.
Receiving information regarding the incident, Khandagiri police rushed
to the spot and arrested the security guard Karunakar Sahu.
According to reports, the service gun went off when Sahu was opening its cap.
However, police have started inquiry into the matter.
