Balasore: A lady doctor working at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Nilagiri in Balasore district died in a road accident late on Sunday night.
Sources said that the doctor Shantilata Gidi was on the way to her house on a scooter after her duty in the hospital when she hit an unsighted bull standing on the road near Sheragada and fell down.
She was rushed to the district headquarters hospital. As her condition worsened, she was shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack but died on the way.
The body was brought to the Nilagiri CHC on Tuesday morning where the entire health staff paid their last respects.
