Lady Schoolteacher Hacked To Death In Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: In a shocking incident, a lady schoolteacher was hacked to death in broad daylight in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Thursday.

According to sources, Jogamaya Jena, a schoolteacher, was chased by a youth on a bike while she was riding pillion back home with her male colleague Mohini Mohan Muduli at around 2 pm. After intercepting them near Rachhipur Chhak under Jajpur Road police limits, the youth attacked the duo with a sharp weapon. While the lady teacher died on the spot, her colleague was grievously injured.

The youth fled the area soon after committing the crime.

Some locals present near the area informed the police, who rushed the spot and admitted the male teacher to the district headquarters hospital.

Police have begun a manhunt to nab the assailant.
