Angul: The Angul district administration on Thursday suspended a lady teacher of Amanta Prakalpa Upper Primary School under Banarpal block for allegedly engaging students to clean her scooter during school hours.
The matter came to the fore on Wednesday morning after guardian of one of the students, who was passing by the school, saw them washing the scooter and videographed the entire incident. He later apprised the school authorities about it.
The video also shows the teacher, Sanjukta Majhi, standing next to the students with a stick in her hand and asking them to clean the vehicle properly.
Replying to media queries on the issue earlier, Majhi had said that the students washed her vehicle on their own as a service to guru (teacher).
