New Delhi: The final day of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) was truly spectacular. Pearl Academy and the FDCI kicked off the day with a show featuring a blend of new designs, bold fabrics, unique textures, and a strong sense of individuality. The outfits on display were nothing short of breathtaking.
A breath of Indian air swept in with the Kalki Couture Wedding collection, ‘Mushk’. Designed for the women of today, it had handwoven Banarasi techniques with soft hues and strong silhouettes. The show sparkled with Shraddha Kapoor taking on the ramp in the end.
Among the other shows in between, the biggest lineup to arrive at this event was ONE INFINITE, which showcased three designers, all with dazzling Indian couture wear and a touch of B-town.
Awigna, by Varsha & Rittu, had Tara Sutaria walking in as their showstopper. Models showcased a soft palette of wedding collections.
Rashi Kapoor’s collection ‘Espiritu Libre’ was inspired by Frida Kahlo. A striking palette, with 3D motifs and designs this collection had a grace of its own. Former Miss Universe, actress Sushmita Sen was the showstopper.
Rishi & Vibhuti, inspired by celebrations of life, showcased their collection ‘Tamasha’. It was a grand symphony of circus acts, kathak dancers, jugglers and men on stilts all while models graced the ramp with the quirky outfits. Former Miss World, actress Manushi Chillar was the showstopper.
The shows continued with momentum as the evening progressed, building up to a highly anticipated grand finale. The culmination of the Lakme x Rohit Bal event took place at an offsite location, specifically the Imperial Hotel.
“The extraordinary vision came to life: an ode to nature and its beauty.” This collection featured roses as its centrepiece, adorned with intricate embroidery and masterful craftsmanship. The show was a celebration of four days of hard work, capturing the essence of Lakme and the world of haute couture. Ananya Pandey graced the show as the showstopper.
