New Delhi: A land-attack variant of BrahMos missile was successfully test-fired off the Odisha coast by Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) on Monday.
The outcomes of the test objectives is being studied and will be released later in the day, DRDO officials said.
The BrahMos missile test-fired today was fitted with increased indigenous equipment. It is a version used by the Indian Army, Economics Times said in a report quoting Defence sources.
The supersonic cruise missile was earlier tested in June this year. It was equipped with an upgraded guidance system and a Russian-designed seeker which gave the missile greater accuracy.
BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile operated by all the three services of the armed forces in different roles and different versions.
