Bhubaneswar: The state government has identified 66.30 acre in Siha panchayat, 12 km away from Chandikhole in Jajpur district, for the second (rural) campus of Utkal University.
A team from the varsity will review the site on Thursday.The construction work will start after completion of the required process and getting the green light from the revenue department, official sources said.
A five-member team, including Utkal University registrar Manmath Biswal, had visited the site the previous day and held discussions with the elected representatives of the area and revenue officials.
“The final report along with blueprint and allocation proposal will soon be submitted to the government,” said Biswal.
The Higher Education department has already taken possession of the said land, he added.
