Koraput: Train service between Rayagada and Koraput route under East Coast Railway (ECoR) which was disrupted in the late afternoon on Tuesday due to a landslide near Toyaput, was resumed on Wednesday after the railway staff cleared the tracks.
As a result, the Koraput-Rourkela Inter City Express was detained at Kakirigumma railway station while the Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express and Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari Express were detained at Baiguda and Laxmipur railway stations respectively.
As it was not possible to clear the track in the night, the railway staff began the work on Wednesday morning.
Train service resumed on this route after the track was cleared after nearly five hours at about 11.50 am.
