Lata Mangeshkar Tests COVID Positive; Admitted To ICU

Mumbai: Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has tested positive for COVID-19. She has been admitted to Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai.

The Bharat Ratna awardee has been admitted to ICU in the hospital, stated reports.

The 92-year-old singer has mild symptoms, her niece Rachna informed the ANI.

Requesting privacy, Rachan said Lata Didi is doing fine and has been kept in ICU only for precautionary reasons considering her age. “Please respect our privacy and keep Didi in your prayers,” Rachna told the news agency.

It may be mentioned that in 2019 the Nightingale of India was hospitalised after being diagnosed with pneumonia. She was discharged after 28 days.
